Nathaniel Joy (1734-1763)

Nathaniel, the eldest child, was born Hingham, Nov. 19, 1734; killed in French & Indian war, 1763.
Nathaniel Joy was a farmer in Abington. Enlisted March 22, 1760 in his Majesty's service for the "total reduction of Canada" in Col. Thomas regiment. Killed in French and Indian Wars. He had four children, of whom Nathaniel was the third.

Nathaniel married Elizabeth Whitmarch [sp.?], born Aug. 11, 1723 in Hingham, Mass. They married on Nov. 26, 1751. Elizabeth's parents were John and Rachel (Ward) [sp.?] Whitmarch. Elizabeth Whitmarch married her second husband John Hambury in 1770.
