Clara was born May 30, 1847; died Feb. 7, 1920; interred at Woodlawn, NY.
She was the daughter of George Hudson Tuttle and Mary Elizabeth Virginia Dawkins, residents of Connecticut, Georgia, and New York City.

Clara was descended both from William & Elizabeth Tuttle's son John and also from Jonathan: Jonathan & Rebecca Bell Tuttle - their daughter Rebecca Tuttle married Isaac Dayton. Their son Isaac Dayton married Elizabeth Todd. Their daughter Charity Dayton married Jehial Tuttle.
