John Williams 1707-1748

Captain John Williams came from Portsmouth, England to Boston about 1730; born May 15, 1707; died Mar. 21, 1748.

He married Mary Pope who was born Mar. 15, 1713.
They married August 19, 1732.

Their children:
1. William born July 9 1747, died Nov. 10 1792
2. Another son was shot in the Boston Massacre. He was John Jr.
3. A daughter Elizabeth was Mrs. Jacob Quincy. Mr. Quincy's sister was Mrs. John Hancock (Governor). Mrs.
Quincy afterward [married] Mr. Berry. Her daughter married Asa Clapp. Elizabeth was born July 17, 1742 and died in Portland Aug. 7, 1831.
