UNVEIL TABLETS Tennille, Ga., Dec. 10. - The Major General Samuel Elbert Chapter, D.A.R., held its December session this afternoon with Miss Nan Harmon at the home of Mrs. J.C. Hamilton. Mrs. Herbert Franklin, regent, presided over the session. The entire chapter was in attendance. The new business was the appointment of a day for the unveiling of the markers in honor of the memory of Lieutenant Francis Tennille, Chaplain George Franklin, and Corporal Daniel Sheehee. The president appointed next Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The exercises will take place in the Revolutionary burial ground, a mile from Davisboro on the Fenn's Bridge road. Impressive exercises will be held. At the close of the business hour this programme for the year book, was presented: Responses to roll call, names of Georgia's famous sons. Historic Medway, an address by Mrs. Buford Smith. Dialect selection, Miss Minnie Hornady. Scraps of Revolutionary history, by different members of the chapter. |
