![]() ![]() Judge John H. Williams (1818-1875) spouse: Mary Adelaide Dix Husband of Mary Adelaide Dix. He was born in Boston December 1818 and died in Portland Maine July 19, 1875. He was Judge of the Municipal court, charter member of the Maine Lodge of Odd Fellows. Appointed to West Point but resigned. Admitted to the Bar in 1849. A large practice as he was a successful advocate. Was a Whig and a Democrat. At his death, the Portland papers spoke of his great integrity - a high-minded lawyer, genial and universally respected. His three sons were John D, George A, and Charles Edwin. Daughter Adelaide.
