Dr. James Bordley (1846-1904) Born at "Bordlington",
Q.A. County, Md. Son of Dr. James Bordley (1808-1872) and his wife Marcella
Worthington Mummey of Thomas. Medical Annals of Maryland, by Dr. Culver
lists him: M.D. Univ. of Md. 1868; President, State Board of Medical Examiners;
Health Officer, Queen Annes County. Dr. Bordley practiced medicine and
lived in a large brick house on Liberty Street, Centreville now owned
by his Bordley cousin, Julia Bell Browne and her husband Judge John W.
Sause, Jr. Dr. Bordley married first Henrietta Chamberlaine (no issue).
By his second wife Ella Fassett Brown of Madison, (married 1871) he had
three children: Madison Bordley (1873-1937), Dr. James Bordley, Jr. (1874-1956)
of Baltimore, and Marcello Worthington Bordley (1886-1964).
