Letter from Stephen B. Bordley to "Bordley Descendant" June 10, 1991

[two-page typed letter with signature:]

June 10, 1991

Dear Bordley Descendant:

Thanks to an extensive effort by Bryden Hyde and Matt Bordley we are able to locate nearly all of the descendants of Thomas and Stephen Bordley who arrived in America in 1677 and 1696 respectively. The geneology [sic] chart used to track everyone is available for $20.00 from:

Bryden Hyde
Box 123
Gibson Island, MD 21056

We have enclosed an invitation list to the upcoming reunion, you may be surprised to realize the number of direct descendants.

The reunion will be held in the heart of Annapolis at the Bordley/Randall/Weems Mansion built by Thomas Bordley circa 1718. This has been made possible by the current owner Phillip Dodds. An article has been enclosed for those of you who have never had the opportunity to visit the mansion previously.

We have enclosed a profile sheet so that family members can learn more about one another. If you are unable to attend the reunion please return the profile sheet along with your regrets.

We are sending approximately 145 family invitations, preliminary interest indicates a majority of us plan to be in attendance.

Dress is casual. Catering arrangements need to be finalized shortly, so we would request a response no later than July 10th.

To cover the cost of catering we would request that a check of $85 per couple/$50 per individual invitee (no charge for children) be made payable to Steve Bordley and returned along with the R.S.V.P. form and profile sheet.

For those of you unfamiliar with the area or needing suggestions regarding accommodations or points of interest in Annapolis please contact:

John Bordley
1706 Albemarle Drive
Crofton, MD 21114
(301) 858-0630

We look forward to seeing you at the reunion.

Sincerely,
/s/
Stephen B. Bordley
